On December 26, 2025, a voice that does not allow itself to be forgetten was heard at Reporting House.
In a gathering marked by sensitivity and reflection, Teuta Elshani shared her experience as the sole survivor of the Elshani family from Korrotica e Ulët in Drenas. Her testimony, tied to the loss of her family in the Old Poklek massacre on April 17, 1999, became a powerful act of witnessing and a collective commitment not to forget.
Moderated by Prof. Donika Shahini Lami, the discussion focused on how personal trauma is carried into collective memory and on the importance of preserving historical truth for future generations.
The event spoke not only to the past. It reminded us of the necessity of listening, respect, and memory as forms of resistance.
