On July 3, 2025, Reporting House hosted the screening of the documentary In the Shadows of War by Eki Rrahmani and Gazi Nela, focusing on the Dubrava Massacre—one of the most horrific crimes of the war in Kosovo. More than 150 attendees were visibly moved by the testimonies of survivors, who recounted the execution of Albanian prisoners by Serbian forces in May 1999.
The film features rare and powerful testimonies, including those of international journalists such as Jacky Rowland (BBC) and human rights activist Natasha Kandiq, both of whom challenged the official Serbian narrative that attempted to blame the massacre on NATO airstrikes. Emotional accounts by Majlinda Nushi and survivor Gent Nushi deeply resonated with the audience.
Co-director Eki Rrahmani explained that the Dubrava Massacre was chosen as the documentary’s focus because of the clear chain of state responsibility. Following the screening, survivors took the stage to share their personal experiences directly with the public.
Reporting House remains a space dedicated to preserving and presenting the truth about the war in Kosovo.
